My exhibition opening cherry has officially been popped.
THOSE SWEET MOMENTS by Hannah Elizabeth at HIVEarts.
A tattoo artist who, like a lot of people during lockdown, deprived of human connection and the consequences that brought to peoples mental health, found comfort in the small enjoyments of life, that might otherwise not have been observed in the same way or appreciated as much. Finding beauty in difficulty is something I personally strive for on a daily basis, in part because of lockdown too, so I resonated with this quite deeply.

My love for records, music and how music helped me get through lockdown and the lows that came with it, made the LP painting my favourite amongst them. The strawberry's though..... I mean, just look at the close up, I'm obsessed with how they are painted, stunning.
Hats off to the thought and detail put into the smaller things, I Enjoyed the clever match of croissants and strawberries as the nibbles to accompany the evening.
For me, another night, another first, another challenge and another hurdle jumped.
An air of buzziness, a wonder of, if allowing the excitement to fizzle is a good idea, while acknowledging if I don't, it will only hold me back. Counter productive much?
So many things I can't even begin to explain how impossibly impossible would have once been, as some more 'impossibilities' Bleed into the realms of reality, I question again, dare I? I think I might....
